Coyote Mint is a delightfully fragrant, low-growing perennial that adds charm, color, and ecological value to dry gardens. Its dense, fuzzy foliage is mint-scented and forms a tidy mound 1 to 2 feet tall and wide. From early to late summer, it bursts into bloom with tight, spherical clusters of lavender-pink flowers, beloved by native bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
Well-adapted to rocky, sandy, and lean soils, Coyote Mint is an excellent fit for borders, rock gardens, or pollinator plantings where water is scarce. It’s not only beautiful—it’s resilient and easy to maintain in Mediterranean and inland climates.
Why Choose Coyote Mint?
Coyote Mint prefers full sun but will tolerate light shade, especially in hotter regions. Cut back spent flower heads and lightly prune in late winter to maintain shape and encourage fresh growth. Avoid overwatering or rich soils, which can reduce its lifespan.
