White Fringetree is a small native tree that brings an air of softness and grace to any landscape. In late spring, its airy, creamy-white blossoms hang in delicate clusters, resembling fringe or lace. These fragrant flowers attract a wide array of native pollinators, including specialist bees. Female plants (when pollinated by nearby males) also produce showy blue fruits in late summer that are relished by birds such as robins and bluebirds. Glossy green leaves add texture through summer and turn a clear yellow in fall.
Though slow-growing, White Fringetree matures into a charming multi-season tree ideal for woodland edges, pollinator gardens, or as a specimen near patios and walkways.
