    Details

Arrowwood Viburnum is a multi-season, multi-functional shrub that thrives in both structured landscapes and wilder plantings. Its arching branches form a dense, rounded thicket that’s perfect for privacy or hedgerows. In late spring, it bursts into clusters of creamy white flowers that feed bees and other pollinators. By late summer, those blooms give way to dark blue berries beloved by over 30 species of birds—including catbirds, thrushes, and cardinals. The foliage transitions to rich shades of red and burgundy in fall, adding a final splash of color before winter.

    Why choose Arrowwood Viburnum?

    • Thrives in tough spots including clay and periodically wet soils—ideal for low-lying areas or rain gardens.
    • Provides food and shelter to wildlife, including pollinators and a wide range of songbirds.
    • Great structural form for privacy hedges, borders, or natural screens.
    • Brilliant fall foliage adds late-season color.

    Maintenance Tips

    • Prune after flowering if shaping or size control is needed.
    • Mulch to conserve moisture and suppress weeds, especially during establishment.
    • Space generously if planting a hedge—plants grow 6–10 feet wide.
    • Remove older stems every few years to maintain vigor and airflow.
